Way of the Hunter 2 Missions: All 33 New Laurentia Quests
The game mixes open free hunting with missions picked up from NPCs and from campsites. The official FAQ calls the story “light”, with references to the first game and Easter eggs. This page lists every New Laurentia mission the community has logged, with the reward each one paid when recorded.
About the rewards: cash and XP come from the community wiki and were logged during Early Access. Update 0.4.1 rebalanced level progression and XP rewards, so treat the numbers as a ranking of which missions pay most, not exact values.
The developers explained in their launch stream that, unlike the first game’s single long story, New Laurentia has three or four shorter story lines (they call them “mini stories”) that you can take on in any order: Mikael Anderson, Juniper, Regina and Patrick Harper.

| Pack Dynamics | Mikael | A calling lesson: older, fitter animals hide better | 1,050 | 40 |

| Speiredonia mutabilis | Regina | Go to the last sighting of the moose with bloodied antlers | 600 | 15 |
| Tyria Jacobaeae | Follows automatically | Face the moose with bloodied antlers: shoot it or leave and let it live, then talk to Regina and Patrick | — | — |
| Crystal clarity | Patrick | Harvest one animal with a bow sight, one with a crossbow sight, one with a bolt-action rifle and no scope | 1,800 | 100 |
| Talk turkey to me | Patrick | Call 3 wild turkeys to within 100 m | 1,800 | 100 |
Regina’s missions are tied to Patrick’s, so you cannot finish her chain without progressing his.
The moose with bloodied antlers
This is the payoff of the New Laurentia story. After Speiredonia mutabilis, Tyria Jacobaeae starts on its own: enter the swamps (moose live only in Mishipeshu Swamp and Thunderbird Muskeg) and choose to harvest the moose or let it live. Either way you report to Regina and Patrick afterwards. Patch 0.1.0 fixed a bug where the wrong dialogue played after this mission. Update 0.4.1 fixed a progression blocker where the sick moose in Erynnis Lucilius could die in the river.

Update 0.3.0 added two campsite missions to New Laurentia in the same patch that brought the pronghorn and wild boar.
Mission tips
- “Hunting Solo” used to need more than 5 mallards because some did not register; that was a known issue at Early Access launch.
- “Talk turkey to me” crashed for some players when it completed; fixed in 0.1.0. Turkey calling itself was fixed in the same patch.
- Fitness requirements matter: binoculars show trophy stars since 0.1.0, and fitness shows in the animal analysis. See herd management.
Kilimaya Reserve missions
There is no complete public list yet. What the official notes confirm: new Hearth & Hunt characters with their own stories (a safari guide, an archery expert and a retired huntress), two campsite missions added in 0.3.0, and mission names that appear in fix notes: Teacher’s Pet (an archery mission), Crocodile Tears and Final Roar. Completing every initial assignment unlocks You’re Hired: Kilimaya Reserve. We will add the table once it can be checked against more than one source.
Earning more: money and XP guide.
