Checked 2026-10-04 against the Steam store page and the Nine Rocks 1.0 FAQ. The two disagree on storage (38 GB vs 30 GB) and on DirectX for the minimum spec, so both are shown.
Can I run it?
The floor is high for a hunting game: Windows 11 only, 16 GB RAM on both tiers and an RTX 2060 / RX 5600 XT as the minimum GPU. If your card is older than an RTX 20-series or RX 5000-series, expect trouble. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5.7 with Nanite and Lumen.
Graphics features
- Upscaling: DLSS 4.5 and FSR 4, plus resolution scaling and quality presets.
- Frame generation: supported.
- Ultrawide: supported.
- View distance: Update 2 added more options to "View Distance Quality".
- Motion blur / film grain toggles: no extra options are planned; the studio asks for specific requests.
Steam Deck
Steam Deck is not officially supported. Nine Rocks says the game can launch on it, but it may need manual configuration and is not optimized for it.
If it runs badly
- FSR does nothing: set anti-aliasing to TSR first, then to FSR (1.0 known issue).
- Played the demo? Delete
%LocalAppData%\WOTH2\Saved\Config(not your saves); old demo configs cause resolution and scaling glitches. - Crash on launch on an NPU laptop: turn off AI Boost in Device Manager.
- FPS drops at sunset or in snow with TSR/TAAU: known issues on the studio's list.
